Remember that time my guest bathroom caught fire? Well, it only took almost 6 months, but my super-handy husband rebuilt it from scratch! He had to remove and hang new drywall and everything. The only thing we kept was the tub and hallelujah for that because what a nightmare that would have been! Anyway, to say that I’m in love with the end result would be a huge understatement. I wanted to go for a bright, clean, crisp look that was also cozy with a touch of glam and I think I accomplished it. “Country Glam” is how I describe it; I’m not sure if that’s right – or if that’s even a thing – but it works for me! So without further ado, here’s our white, bronze, and silver guest bathroom makeover.

So, if you read my Girls’ Playroom posts, you know that I’m highly visual and design decisions give me a tinge of anxiety. Luckily for me, I went into this project knowing that I wanted mostly white with bronze accents. After surfing Pinterest for hours and hours and watching way more episodes of Fixer Upper than I’d like to admit, I realized that mixing metals is totally okay which made me feel better since I didn’t like the way a bronze faucet looked. Thechrome faucet with white handles we picked out was the perfect touch.

Because of how tight the space is, I wasn’t able to get a great shot of the mirror but it is one of my favorite parts of the room. It’s what, in my opinion, adds the “touch of glam” I was aiming for. There’s a matching matted photo frame hanging on the opposite wall that I got from Home Goods (I love that place, don’t you?). On the wall behind the door is a rustic white plank wood piece with hooksthat I got from Hobby Lobby to hang towels and my ruffle shower curtainworked well for the space since the ruffles are only on the bottom half.
Also, wanna know something I’m super happy about? This bathroom project inspired my husband to finally replace all the brass knobs in our house with bronze ones. Even though brass is back in style now, I hated those knobs for six years so good riddance! Small victories, y’all.
So, even though it was a glass candle that started our fire, I did decide to put another candle back on top of the toilet but this time I placed it in a tray, not on a towel, with a new photo frame from Home Goods and a milk glass vase I thrifted many years ago and filled with some greenery from Hobby Lobby. My hands-down fave touch in this room is the hand-towels, which I know is super weird. They were also a Home Goods score and I bought every one they had in stock. Because you know, back-ups. My vanity and sink came together but with chrome hardware so I switched the knobs out for bronze ones. The floral vase on my sink is from Home Goods.
Last but not least, I’m a big fan of displaying scripture as art; words of affirmation are my jam, and I’m loving the verse hanging above the (new) toilet. It’s also from Hobby Lobby.
