Oh, man. I wish I had a dollar for every time I said I was tired. As a working, blogging mom, I can certainly get myself stressed out and wound up pretty often. Sleep isn’t something I get enough of and I always feel like I have something hanging over my head that needs to be done. Relaxation isn’t something I get to do very often. In fact, it often feels like a fantasy. One morning recently, I putting on my makeup before work and couldn’t help but focus on my super dark and deep under-eye circles. I quickly realized that if I feel (and look) this way, lots of other moms just like me must, too. So, I decided to start a blog series highlighting some of my favorite products to help us mamas relax! Just because we don’t have time to get to the spa doesn’t mean that we can’t bring the spa to us, right?!
(This post is sponsored by Fabula Nebulae. As always, all opinions expressed are mine.)
All of that said, I would like to introduce you to Fabula Nebulae, a family owned company (and y’all know I love me a family-owned company) with natural, affordable, essential oil-infused products, that donates some if its proceeds to research. Yes, you hear that right. Family Owned. All Natural. Affordable. Gives Back. Guys, this company is everything. Also, I’ve had the privilege of exchanging emails with one of the co-owners and she is for sure one of those good, kind, salt of the earth people.
Okay, okay, Shannon. Get to the products and tell us how exactly they help you relax, would ya? Alright, fine.
Muscle and Joint Soother. Have I ever told you how horrible my posture is? Or how my neck sometimes gets so stiff from stress that I can barely move it and end up looking like a creepy doll who can only move their eyes? Well it’s true; picture Quasimodo wearing a neck immobilizer and sitting it front of an outdated MacBook
in a clock tower on my couch every night. I usually use a product recommended by chiropractors that rhymes with shmiopeeze and it works great, but I am pretty confident that I will be replacing it with this (less expensive) product. When I first put it on, I didn’t think it was really doing anything but realized later that I felt more relaxed and loose. In fact, I put some on in between my hunchback shoulder blades and, as I type this, I can feel the warming cinnamon and cooling menthol.
Calming Lavender Sugar Scrub. Some of my favorite vices in life are expensive purses, annoying my husband, and deluxe pedicures. Why do I love pedicures so much, you ask? Because of the sugar scrubs! Honestly. I love when the nail tech uses different scrubs and lotions to massage my achey muscles and exfoliate my skin. Getting to the salon is a challenge, though (because time), and so I’m so glad that I now have this scrub! It smells amazing, has a great consistency, and leaves my legs and feet silky smooth and moisturized. The lavender is perfect for nighttime showers because it helps relax my tired mind and put my weary body to rest.
Warming Brown Sugar Cinnamon Scrub. I’m not even gonna beat around the bush, here. This one straight up smells like fall, y’all. Everything about it just makes me feel cozy. The cinnamon helps warm and soothe and it’s legit like heaven in a jar. Of course, it exfoliates and soothes just like the lavender scrub. I reserve this one for night time baths coupled with candlelight, a chai latte, and some chill music. Heaven.
Relax and Rest Balm. I’ve never seen so much goodness packed into one little jar. Infused with lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, coconut oil, and some other all-natural goodness, I applied this balm to the insides of my wrists and my neck and felt relaxation (and sleepiness) set it right away. If you’re like me, you have a hard time turning off your brain. This balm made it hard for me to keep my brain on and eyes open (in a good way). Need something to put your crazy kids to sleep? Don’t fret! Fabula Nebulae also makes a Sleep and Rest for Little Ones balm, too (and it smells glorious)!
You guys. You seriously have to check out Fabula Nebulae and their products. Their prices are unbeatable and they have so much more than what I have mentioned here including (but not limited to) products for kids such as Bumble Fairy Sun Dust, which is the most adorable thing and the smile A had on her face when I used it was unbeatable, and Monsters Away! to calm jitters. There’s also Quiet the Storm skin calming salve for cuts, burns, rashes, etc. (I have been fortunate enough to not have to use it yet but am definitely planning to), and different flavored lip balm.
Listen, Mama. I know it’s hard to relax. I know there’s so much to do. But, I also know that you deserve it. We deserve it. So, let’s find a few minutes to treat ourselves and relax, Mama! #TreatYoSelf
