If you’ve been following along with me for awhile, you may already know my best time-saving tip is to outsource as much as possible, within your means. I’m clearly not the only one because meal delivery services are all the rage right now. And, I can totally see why! I mean, wouldn’t it be great if you could get online, choose a few meals, and have them sent to your home, ready to cook? Well, you totally can and today I’m going to introduce you to a meal delivery service that does everything but cook the meals for you!
This post is sponsored by Dinner Thyme. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
So, I’ve already reviewed one other meal delivery service before but I have to be honest and say that I liked Dinner Thyme way better. What sets them apart, in my opinion, is that all of the ingredients are pre-chopped, diced, mixed, blended, etc. Even the butter was pre-portioned! You literally just have to open the package(s) and make the meal! Also, their step-by-step directions were easy to follow and each meal was ready in less than 30 minutes (including prep time) – which is perfect for busy moms like me! Everything was clearly labeled with color-coded stickers with letters on them. The colors/letters corresponded with the enclosed recipe sheets. And, the cover sheet that comes in the box even tells you how many days you have to cook each meal before the ingredients spoil. Of course, the boxes are insulated and packed on ice; they are guaranteed to stay chilly until at least 11:00pm – so, there’s no need to be home for delivery as long as there is somewhere to leave your package. I tried 3 meals from Dinner Thyme and I really loved them all!
Chicken Piccata with Capers Over Linguine
This was the first meal I made and it was my favorite. It had a great lemony taste, was super easy to make, and was seriously so delicious! My husband really enjoyed it, too. And even though the portion sizes were supposed to be for 2, we had more than enough and even had leftovers. I highly recommend this dish.
Apple Pecan Chicken With Brandy Sauce
Okay, first things first – I burnt the brandy sauce. I can’t help but laugh at myself because the directions were so easy and straightforward but, I went wrong somewhere and well, it didn’t quite work out. That said, I still enjoyed the meal. So, while this meal was really tasty without the brandy sauce, it probably would have been even better with it. The apples were seriously amazing and that pecan crusting was so good.
Braised Beef Raviolis with Mushrooms and Peppers with a Side of Garlic Bread
I love ravioli so I was so excited to make this – and it definitely didn’t disappoint! I’m kind of a picky eater so I didn’t use the mushrooms or peppers but it was so good without them. My favorite part of this dish was the garlic bread because before making it, I hadn’t even thought about toasting it on the stove; the ingredients included delicious garlic butter and directions on how to toast it. I ate the bread too fast, though (because bread), and didn’t get a photo. Like the others, this meal was quick and easy and gets a thumbs up in my book, too!
Dinner Thyme has 15 meal options to choose from each week (and dessert, too)! They make it easy to skip a week and even have a referral program. They have a 50/50 referral service for frequent customers where your friends get 50% off their first box and so will you; after you are a frequent customer (after two orders), you can refer a friend. Your friend will get 50% off their first box and you will get the equal amount (of their 50% amount) as a credit after they order their second box. How awesome is that? Yay, savings!
Finally, because Dinner Thyme values you, my awesome readers, so much, they are offering $20 off your first box using code, READYSETCOOK.
So, get to cooking, my friends; it’s Dinner Thyme! Ready, set, cook!
