I’ve mentioned before how my husband can be tough to shop for when it comes time for all gift-giving holidays so I often try to get creative with my gifts for him. It can be tough shopping for the other dads in my life, too, though, so Father’s Day can be a challenge in that department. You know, guys always complain that women are hard to shop for but they’re not much easier, am I right? Well, if you’re in my boat, perhaps these five unique Father’s Day gift ideas will be helpful!
Edible Arrangements: Fruit and Fire Bouquet
Confession: I love to order these for my husband because I get to eat them! Food is the way to his heart (and mine) so these delicious treats never disappoint; they can be enjoyed by everyone! I love that Edible Arrangements are hand-crafted and can be delivered the same day (for you last-minute shoppers like me), and they’re always a sweet surprise. I also love that they’re the perfect combination of fresh fruit and chocolate. The Fruit and Fire Bouquet is seriously adorable and unique (just like the dad in your life, I’m sure) and the little mini BBQ it comes in is a super cute “catch-all” receptacle for him after the treat is finished. My husband is planning to use his on his desk at work. Edible Arrangements has lots of options for dads and they make a perfect gift for any occasion.

Arctic Cool Instant Cooling Shirt
This is definitely a gift that all men can enjoy (as long as they wear clothes, of course). Arctic Cool is made with Hydrofreeze X Cooling Technology. With these lightweight, comfortable and versatile tops, sweat activates the fabric and is initially wicked away from the skin. Hydrofreeze then disperses the moisture throughout the clothing fibers, keeping all areas equally dry. The shirt cools down to 30 degrees cooler! I mean, how awesome is that – especially in the summer? They’re not restrictive like similar brands and are machine washable and durable. My husband loves his because he works outside a lot and so it helps him not overheat in the Georgia sun.
Sexy Hair: Hard Up Gel
My husband keeps his hair pretty short (like, really short) so he doesn’t need hair gel but, if he did I would totally get him this men’s styling gel. I’ve always loved Sexy Hair products and so I’m sure this one is super awesome. So, if the dad in your life has good hair, you should totally have him try this out. On wet hair, he can achieve a sculpted, spiked, sleek, or refined look. When used on dry hair, he can create a messy, tousled look. Give the dads in your life the gift of Sexy Hair.
Universal Music Group
Who doesn’t like music?! I literally can’t think of anyone who doesn’t. I find that when I’m truly at a loss for gift ideas, music doesn’t disappoint. Sure, a lot of people download songs these days but I love the nostalgia of vinyl and CD’s (I can’t believe CD’s are nostalgic already). Any dad in your life would love to receive his favorite jams for Father’s Day! Music is the best gift for sure.
AliveCor: Kardia Mobile
I hope my step-dad isn’t reading this because this gift is right up his alley and will be making its way into his hands on Father’s Day. Did you know that heart disease is the number 1 cause of death in the U.S., claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined? Crazy, right? My step-dad has had some heart trouble in the past and so I’m excited to give him AliveCor’s Kardia Mobile. It’s a device and app-based service that provides instant analysis for detecting atrial fibrillation, the leading cause of stroke. Said differently, it’s a personal, mobile EKG that’s smaller than a credit card and can attach to your phone. It takes a medical-grade read in less than 30 seconds and can relay the results to a doctor for instant analysis and diagnosis. Cool right? The AliveCor app is free to download for iOS and Android devices. The app tracks the 5 modifiable risk factors for stroke including: heart rhythm, blood pressure, weight, physical activity and resting heart rate. I love how unique, convenient, and health-focused this is. I can’t think of a better way to tell the special dad in your life you care than by helping him monitor his heart health, can you?

We gave Mom a glass anniversary sundial for Mothers Day one year, it sits on the window sill and has special date lines for each of us kids’ birthdays that the time shadow follows on the special days each year. It makes rainbow spectrum colors in the family room when the sun hits it too. It would also make a great gift for Fathers Day, since it does something on each child’s birthday. I don’t remember what it is called exactly but you can find it online with a search for anniversary sundial or rainbow sundial, we sometimes give them for weddings (with a date line for the wedding date) and that’s how we find it.
