I’ve wanted to write this post for months but was inspired today after sorting through my girls’ toys to make room for this year’s Christmas gifts. I clean out and consign toys about twice a year but there are 10 toddler and preschool toys I can never seem to get rid of because my girls love them so much. Today I’m sharing what those are with you! Everything on this list has lived in my home for at least one year and still remains a favorite. My girls play with them daily and never seem to get bored! As the holiday season approaches, I highly recommend these toys for the toddlers and/or preschoolers on your list!
Little Tikes 3′ Trampoline – My oldest got this trampoline for her birthday 3 years ago and my youngest started eyeing it basically from birth. This little trampoline has given both girls hours of fun for the past 3 years and still sees a lot of play time on the regular. It’s a great toy to help your littles get their wiggles out!
nabi Jr. – 5″ Kids Tablet – We’ve never had another tablet to compare the nabi Jr. but we’ve had it for 2 years now and there’s so many things my girls and I love about it. I love that in all the time we’ve had it, we’ve never had to download any extra apps; the ones that come stock are good for my girls’ developing minds and are fun for them! It also has a camera they love to take pics with. I love that it works without the Internet and is seemingly indestructible. I can’t say we love it enough.
Little Tikes Shopping Cart – We bought the yellow and red cart for Christmas for A when she was only 15 months old. As soon as E was able to push it, we got her a purple and pink version. So now we have two carts! Today, after 4 years, both carts get filled and pushed around by both girls every single day.
Fisher-Price Little People Disney Princess Musical Dancing Palace – I have said so many times over the years that this is the best toy purchase I’ve ever made. Sadly, the version I have has been discontinued (but you can find it here) but my mom has this version and the girls love it just the same. It was a Christmas gift for my oldest when she was 15 months old and still gets played with by both of my daughters (now ages 5 and 3) every day. We bought an extra set of Little People Princesses so they have lots to play with.
Fisher-Price Poppity-Pop Musical Dino – I’m not sure what it is about this dino toy that my littlest loves so much but she’s been playing with it for 2 years now and still loves it even though she’s “too old” for it now.
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Puppy’s Smart Train – I got an older version of this train at a consignment sale for a dollar for my oldest when she was just a year old and my girls still fight over it on the regular. This new version appears to be way cuter than the one we have.
Radio Flyer Rider Trike Ride On – My littlest got this trike for Christmas last year and she rides it around our house every day. There’s a little “trunk” in the back for her to hide her treasures and my mom attached a basket to the front for her to carry more cargo. My oldest likes to ride it, too, even though her legs are too long for it. We have the pink trike but the red one is super cute, too!
Fisher-Price Little People Lil’ Movers Baby School Bus – Similar to the train mentioned above, our school bus was another consignment sale score. When they’re not fighting over the train, my kids are fighting over the school bus. They love to fill it up with their Little People Princesses and drive them around the house. We’ve had it for about 3 years and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Shapemags – This is officially the third time I’ve written about these magnetic tiles on this blog which should tell you that I mean it when I say my kids love these. Shapemags are my girls’ current favorite and I love that they love something that’s a STEM toy so much! There’s lots of Shapemags options but we have this set. It hasn’t been a full year since we got them yet but I’m feeling very confident my girls will love them just as much as they do now when the one-year mark hits.
