One of the great things about having a second baby (when it comes to “stuff,” that is) is that you don’t need nearly as much new stuff as you did with the first one, right? If you bought gender neutral equipment the first go-round, you really don’t need much of anything, right? Well, maybe. The transition from one to two wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be and there were a few things I found myself needing with Baby #2 that I didn’t with Baby #1. I’m 2.5 years into being a mom of 2 and so I thought I’d round up what we actually used, some of which we still use. Here are my Must Have Items for Baby #2.

Let’s talk about sippy cups, shall we? They always leak, am I right? I feel like in the 4.5 years I’ve been a mom, I’ve tried what feels like every cup on the market. Even if not right away, they all end up leaking at some point and it’s so frustrating. My beige microfiber sofas are covered in dried liquid rings from leaking cups left laying down by little hands; I don’t even bother trying to clean them anymore. Well, I’m so glad to say that I finally found one that saves my sofas! I’ve partnered with Playtex Baby as part of the #ForBetterBeginnings campaign to share their Sipsters cups with you! Spoiler alert: they don’t leak!

2017 is a year of new beginnings for me. As you may know, I’m currently working part-time and slowly transitioning out of the full-time workforce to spend more time with my family. Sometimes you just have to make big decisions to make things better. So for me, I’m not just having new beginnings, I’m having better beginnings. To that end, I have an announcement and I am so super stoked about it!

Is your family like the McCallisters who always take a family vacation over Christmas (without leaving some one behind, of course)? Are you headed to the beach, perhaps? Maybe on a cruise? A hotel with a nice, heated indoor pool? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above then keep reading, my friend! You’re not going to want to forget these 5 things.

Y’all. I’m so proud of myself this year because I’ve actually started Christmas shopping early! I’m usually a post-Thanksgiving shopper but since time is something I don’t have enough of these days, I decided that little-by-little over a longer period of time is the way to go. That said, I thought I would share some of the gifts my girls are getting for Christmas this year. For reference, A is four years old and E is two and while they both appreciate all kinds of toys, they are super girly at heart (and I love it).
