When I was in school, my favorite subject was lunch. Seriously. Learning was for the birds! It wasn’t until I met my husband that I realized I had some basic knowledge gaps with stuff I should know, such as US presidents and state capitals. I would like to think it’s because I lived in Canada until the 5th grade but it might be a combination of that, bad public schools, and my lack of desire or care (mostly this, I’m sure). Now, as an adult I wish I knew some of these things to keep up with my husband. Well, I’m seriously beyond thrilled to have found a product that combines my favorite subject (food) with learning!View Post
Have I ever mentioned how not-domestic I am? Well, if I’ve failed to mention that until now, I apologize. I lack the gift of being able to create beauty with food and I’m not exactly the best hostess, either. The good news is that I’m not the worst (but pretty close). But, that being said, I have found myself hosting small-holiday dinners over the past few years and have had to scramble for appetizers for my guests. I mean, isn’t preparing a huge meal enough? Apparently not. So, sometimes I get a shrimp cocktail ring and call it a day. Other times, I set out “fancy” chips and dips or something of the like. We busy mamas don’t have a ton of time so low maintenance is the way for me. Stress-Free. Well, this year I decided to take an extra step and go with a Stella Cheese board using their delicious Romano and Parmesan cheeses! Stress-Free can be delicious, too!View Post
It’s no secret that I, like most moms, am pretty busy. One glimpse into a day in my life, and it would be very evident that I need to take shortcuts wherever I can. And, boy do I! As much as I would like to strive for perfection in all that I do, it’s just not possible. So, I prioritize and decide ahead of time what things I need to spend the most time on and what things I can cut corners on. So, with that, I want to share the single most valuable hack I have for busy, working moms (or any moms, really).View Post
